As I was browsing the PRSA Issues and Trends for February 10th, a story caught my eye.
According to a marketing website in the United Kingdom, Twitter will be charging those who use the social networking cite for "commercial" purposes.
Do you think it is right for Twitter to charge for the use of the cite? Or should Twitter be allowed to charge the companies for uses beyond social networking?
Let us know your thoughts!

I think it makes sense that Twitter could charge companies if they would like to advertise on their site, but they should not charge people to simply use it as is. First of all, the site does not really offer any service that is worth paying for. I think if they started charging people, then the use of their site would greatly decrease. Also, most other sites which offer similar services do not charge, and by making people pay, they would be damaging their position in their market.
